Advanced Detector Facilities

The primary objective of this project is for the development of advanced detector facilities for nuclear physics research with the superconducting cyclotron. Several sophisticated tools for detection and analysis are being developed (some has already been completed) for. the utilization of SCC in various fields in the X plan. The scientific community felt that, to properly utilize the SCC and to broaden the scope of research with the accelerators the following developmental activities need to be implemented. Since the SCC offers the opportunity of very high quality research in frontline areas of nuclear as well as non-nuclear physics, it is worth taking up the challenge and build new and versatile detector systems for this purpose.
